About Me:

I'm a native of Memphis TN, and currently reside in the Atlanta, GA area. Upon graduating for high school in Memphis, he attend Murray State University where he graduated with a B.S. in Industrial Engineering. After a brief career as a Product Change and Development Engineer, I pursued my passion for music as a bass guitarist. After touring and recording in the California area, I decided to serve as a musician (bassist) in U.S. Navy Band for 5 years. Upon leaving the military, I combined my love for technology, music , and art to found Persistence Multimedia Productions LLC.

As the owner of Persistence, we uses my knowledge of new media technologies to formulate creative ways for clients to maximize their revenue potential through new media. We are a "next generation production service" with a concentration on content delivery/encoding, viral sharing/video seeding, and new media technologies. We currently consults with new media companies such as Brightcove, StudioNow and ElasticLabs to work with various brands and publications in building their presence with online audiences and advertisers. I'm also the executive producer for online network DigiMusic Tv.com.

Gary Rice shares his techniques and methods that he has learned and applied as a world class bassist for the past 28 years. He is known for his unique approach to slap bass and solo techniques. In this dvd Gary also demonstrate how to create the "Pocket" with a drummer aswell as basic musicianship. Gary has performed and shown these techniques all over the world from Japan,Germany, Greece, Belgium, Italy, Korea, and across the U.S.A.
